Booking your visit
How to book your visit to a Medway household waste and recycling centre (HWRC)
You'll need to book a slot every time you want to attend and dispose of household waste. Slots will be limited.
You can only book two slots in any four-week period. Please do not make multiple bookings as this is unfair to other site users.
Each booking entitles you to one trip to the site only within your specified booking slot. If you turn up again within that booking slot you'll be turned away.
The booking system is in place to ensure:
- reduced spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)
- reduced impact on the road network
- we can contact trace if we have an outbreak within staff or customers
If you do not book, we will not allow you to enter the site and staff will turn you away.
Due to the high level of demand, this booking service is very busy. You may be placed in an online queue to help manage this. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We’ll be adding new slots daily.
You may be frustrated by the new systems in place, but we ask for your patience as they’re for everyone’s safety. Site staff will not tolerate abuse. You should read the full site rules before you book your slot.
To book your visit you'll need to provide your:
- name, address and email address
- vehicle make, model, colour and registration
Once you have supplied this information, you'll be able to book a day and time slot from the calendar.
Book online
It's quicker to book your slot online.
After you’ve booked online, you’ll receive an email confirming the:
- date of booking and time slot
- booking reference number
- site you'll be visiting
Please keep this confirmation email, as you'll need to bring it with you when you visit the site.
Book by phone
If you do not have an email address (which is used to confirm online booking details) or the internet, you can book by phone.
Call 01634 333 333, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Change or cancel your booking
If you need to amend a booking phone 01634 333 333, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Use our online form to cancel your visit.
